A series of cultural activities benefiting people and the Luxi watercolor painting creation exhibition kicked off at Shejianglou Cultural Square in Luxi County on the morning of January 28.
At the event site, there were exciting and diverse cultural performances, as well as intangible cultural heritage display and promotion activities like Yuanshui jade carving, chrysanthemum stone carving and Xiangxi wood carving. Calligraphy enthusiasts from the county gathered together to write Spring Festival couplets for citizens for free.
At the exhibition hall, visitors appreciated the beautiful scenery of Luxi on watercolor paintings. Since the launch of the watercolor painting creation project, the famous painter Wang Xizhong visited the urban and rural areas of Luxi County, and depicted the natural ecology, cultural landscapes, and achievements of rural revitalization of Luxi County on his paintings within 1.5 years. This provides a new way and media platform for promoting the development of Luxi’s culture and tourism.
The cultural activities benefiting people carried out during the Spring Festival in Luxi County will continue until February 24. A series of colorful festival activities like traditional shadow puppetry, lantern riddles guessing, calligraphy and photography will be launched, allowing citizens to experience the charm of traditional culture in Luxi County while celebrating the Spring Festival and share the achievements of economic, social and cultural prosperity.
